The seeds arrived in the U.S. in about a week. Five out of five of the Northern Light feminized seeds sprouted and survived to adulthood. All appeared as pure females with no signs of hermaphrodites. I used peat pellets with a thin layer of soil over the top to germinate. The sprouts took about three days to pop up. I decided to flower four and keep one as a mother. They were topped at about the fifth node and produced four to five main branches. The tops were tied down with wire. At first I used two gallon pots to flower in, but I transplanted to three gallon pots two weeks into flowering without any sign of stress. The root growth was incredibly dense. They were flowered under a 400 watt HPS and two 90 watt LEDs for 52 days. There were three main phenotypes. Two had thinner leaves. Two had broader leaves. And one had short broad leaves. The one with short leaves was very small, but it caught up and was a great producer. Some plants that looked better while vegetating weren't the best during flowering. The topped plants with multiple arms were around 7 inches (18 cm)when flowering started and grew to about 16 inches (40 cm). They developed multiple long banana shaped colas. Of the four plants, the highest yield was 57 grams. The total yield for four plants was 190 grams. I also have about 200 grams of nice trim. The high is potent and feels more like a head high than couch lock. It doesn't have a particularly psychedelic or trippy feeling to it. I harvested when the trichomes were still mostly clear. Next time, I want to wait until I see more amber. The plants started to give off odor during the fifth week of flowering. I have a carbon filter, but a mild smell existed. The plants did not smell like marijuana. It smelled like green grass and mint. I could smell a hint of skunk toward the very end. I have successfully cloned the plants using cuttings with gel stuck in a peat pellet. So far I have 100% survival rate with cloning. Northern Light was a good choice for me as a first time grower. The plants are hardy and can survive high temperatures. Learning to grow for the first time wasn't easy, but it was worth it. Now its time to try some of Nirvana's other strains. I am sticking with Nirvana.

Order was shipped in a very timely manner. I also had a 100% Germination Rate. I am only 2 weeks into veg, and so far so good. This is my first time grow and the plants are very hardyand have put up with my beginer mistakes. I will Definatley order from Nirvana Again!!

Nirvana's Northern Lights lives up the reputation. This is an excellent strain, which gave me a good yield. It is not too complicated of a strain, so beginners shouldn't be wary. Expect banana-shaped buds, a rich aroma and a yield that falls between good and great.

i ordered these in oct2012 and im just about to harvest.my tent is right next to my bed so i ve gone to sleep with a lovely aroma and a creeper on.lol.these plants are indestructable.i am a novice grower(2nd grow)but i really abused these ladies out of lack of knowledge. i am that impressed i ordered blue mystic auto flower and they came within a week even tho they were ordered at xmas.the customer service is top quality.the seeds top quality and nirvana will have my buisness for years to come.thanks so much.

I'm sorry if my English is not too good. My seeds arrived yesterday after 2 weeks of paranoia thinking whether Nirvana is professional enough to take good care of the shipping and packing method. Well, I have to give Nirvana team thumbs up. If you guys reading this, give yourselves a pat on the back cause I really have to salute you guys on the stealth method. The smoke is very smooth and soft with a light green flavor. The smell and flavor depend on the number of days of flowering, the phenotype, and how long it has cured. One plant was a little spicy. I noticed watermelon, citrus, raspberry, strawberry, and mild skunk scents from the processed buds.

My grow environment is a cabinet with a 400 watt HPS and two 90 watt LED UFOs on both sides. I used three Northern Light plants cloned from my first grow each in five gallon pots. I topped the plants and trained them to be very low, starting at about 20 cm when flowing began and ending up around 30 cm tall at harvest. By training the plants, I created a sea of green and so many fat colas. I harvested the plants at 68 days, 80 days, and 82 days. The longer they flowered, the bigger the buds were, the better they smelled, and the more potent they were. The harvest was huge at almost 300 grams. The buds were beautiful, covered in crystals and red hair and smelled so fruity. The high is mostly indica, relaxing, body stoned feeling. There is an up sativa element to the high that is uplifting, but this is mild. I had no paranoia and could interact and do normal things without problems. The feeling is very nice, but I prefer hybrids with more sativa in them after trying some of Nirvana's other strains. Although this plant smells less than most during flowering, after the sixth week, the smell gets much stronger. Odor control measures are necessary for stealth grows. These plants are hardy and produce a large yield. They can be kept in a small indoor space if topped and trained. Friends who smoked some of this with me thought it was excellent and wanted more.

A bit slow at first when growing in soil but its all good 5/5 germed and all were female. A bit picky about nutrients so dosage carefully and it is allitle sensitive to heat but not more than most other strains. Easy to clone and responds pretty good on topping/fimming them! Always a good smoke!
