Blackberry’s mother, Black Domino, was a marijuana clone sent to the Netherlands from the area around Seattle. Its father is Nirvana’s very own Raspberry Cough. Domino's tight leaf structure has been preserved well in this marijuana hybrid. Nirvana Blackberry smoke is thick and heavy with subtle hints of Asian Sativa flavours. Yields are very good for a strain that already displays so many desirable traits.

Blackberry - Premium Bud Posted by P. H on 2011-05-20 07:25:07

I've been growing for 30 years, know what I'm doing and LOVE this BlackBerry.I start all my seeds under a cabinet mounted 400w HPS in large jiffies. When the roots start popping out BIG, they get transplanted up or directly into a 48"x96" booth with a 66" ceiling height. The soil base is a full 48"x96"x8" (no pots - 158 gallons of peat/soil mix) all set under a 1000 watt convertible light. I grow this just like an outdoor garden by amending the soil, etc...Each BB needs about one square foot of soil (8" deep) for its root system but the plant itself needs a good 24x24 area to grow properly. Their height was perfect for my setup and I had very little bending tying off, etc... for these plants to reach maturity. Although, I do prune a lot and keep the garden very clean, open and airy.BB's are an excellent plant with stout branches and HEAVY bud weight. They were germinated and grew under the 400w for four weeks with an 18/6 light schedule. Then transplanted into the 12/12 1000w booth that ran 2 weeks with a Metal Halide until converted to HPS for the remainder.Grew to harvest under 12/12 for 12 weeks and began periodic harvests that continued for 4 weeks. Of the 5 plants, along with two Chronics, each showed a slightly varied phenotype. One being super fast, kind of small and purpleish was harvested in 12 weeks. 2 were green and medium, the forth green and LARGE and the last was Large, LATE, PURPLE and one of hashyist pots I ever grew! Well worth the wait. Overall, the dried, manicured buds of each ranged from 60g's for the smallest to 252g's for the largest. The ultra late, purple plant was the best smoker of all and grew under 12/12 for 16 weeks and produced 105 g's. Total weight for the 5 plants was 563.45 g's or 20.12 ounces. The two Chronics added another 150+g's and didn't like being treated like BlackBerrys.Blackberry's smell is pure joy but not overpowering. I own my home in the country and could smell them in the house at times. A little ventilation would be a good thing but this was a winter grow. The woodstove, when running, covered them up easily. Otherwise a candle or two was enough to mix it up and nobody knew the difference.BB's are very easy to grow, harvest, trim and cure. They form beautiful buds throughout the branches with little to no waste as I trim/prune my plants continuously for high quality bud. They cure to a stinky, awesome rich smoking pot that anyone would die for. The bag appeal is superb, especially the 16 week purps. All covered with trics, sticky and people would just hold it and look at the buds for the longest time. Once smoked, sit back, chill and forget the world......matter of fact, forget about working, forget about sex, forget about everything. This would also be great pain meds. Blackberry is premium pot all the way!!!!!Now that I've grown them once, I'll grow this again, matter of fact I have 4 in germ right now. Of the 10 feminised seeds, only one didn't germ. Of the current four, I think I can easily get the four to go over 600 g's, if not reach a kilo. One of the first five made 252 g's, no reason four cannot break a kilo. Veg these for 8 to 10 weeks and I feel 4 plants will produce 1200 to 1500 g's with a 13 week flower. In my opinion, if you can pull 3 to 4 POUNDS of premium bud from 4 plants in 1/2 year, it's a good grow.In summary, buy, grow and love the Blackberry. I will positively grow them again and again and again and with a little better understanding, I expect the results will be even better quantities. The quality is fantastic, especially if you are patient and let them go to 12 to 16 weeks. I use various Miracle Grow ferts, hand water with a garden hose and flush three to four weeks prior to harvest. I'm fortunate to have the soil base I have and because of it, it's very forgiving and easy to manage, hence the reason I use it. Makes life much simpler. ENJOY!PS: Please stop writing reviews about germinating your seeds in two days. Nobody reads them or cares. Since 95% of pro seeds ALWAYS germinate, if you know what you're doing, a review stating such means nothing to nobody. So, please grow your plants, cure your bud and smoke it before writing a review.

Recieved very stealth with humour ,did the paper towel method and the seeds popped in 24 hours(they are very fresh) The first four true leaves are just purple as can be on the undersides. Cant wait to see this bud, seems to be a fast grower and very uniform in stature!!!!

Gave a seed to a friend for hydro, to compare with soil... Between 5 plants, this sort grew the fastest and the Biggest close to a Jack Herrer...Even if the profil says that it is a slow plant.(Nature is not an exact science). The temperature was not cold enough to make it turn violet/blue. Really strong plant for my opinon.

The yield is very good. stake the branches or they will fall over for sure. very close internodes.

Sweet, Earthy, Musky, and faintly spicey. was not my favorite taste.

This plant grew very well until the end of flowering. it gave me a bit of trouble with foxtail tips on the buds. it took 12.5 weeks to flower(even though it looked very indica), where as the Chrystal plant i had only took about 9. I much prefer White Castle, and Chrystal to this. The yield was very heavy due to close internodes and vigourous growth. The potency was certainly there but isn't as good as some other strains they offer in my opinion. the taste was not very pungent either. have to say i'll give it one more chance, and if it fails to impress again... thats it.

I just wanted to let every body know this is one of the prettiest, most forgiving strain that I have ever had the pleasure of working with! I did not have moving air or AC the leaves got burn to a crisp on top but it saved most of the nug's underneath I fixed the problem and after about a week the buds were growing and doubling in size as well as shooting out with a ton of glands!!! This strain is also amazingly sticky actually making a pair of new scissors unusable after just 5 plants!!! Thanks Nirvana for a great strain!
