Words can't express how much joy it gave us to see all your gorgeous, gorgeous photos. You've growns some plants to be proud of - we're a little proud ourselves, to be honest.
With so many mouth-watering photos to drool over, choosing a winner was one hell of a difficult job! Even when we finally did manage to narrow it down to a single grower, there were so many good photos from this one person that we almost couldn't pick one.
But let's not keep you waiting and anticipating... the very deserving winner of the first ever Photo Contest is.......
Congratulations, mate! The grand prize, 2000 Points, has been added to your Nirvana account - we hope you'll have fun spending your well-earned Points.

This is Sonzor's lovely outdoor grow, at about 5-6 weeks into flowering. Look at those gorgeous amber pistils and trichome-laden leaves and buds! Nom nom nom.

When you see that full moon light up the sky, log onto your Nirvana Shop account and order some Full Moon seeds at a 20% discount!! The discount is applied to ALL Full Moon seeds you have in your cart (feminized as well as regular)

Tips on how to win
1. Take clear and appealing photos. We prefer pictures of plants that are almost ready to harvest, and that clearly show the flowers.
2. Work that macro button! A nice close-up glamour shot really gets us going.
3. Add some information to the Description field. E.g. how old is the plant, when are you going to harvest, etc. This may be helpful to other growers as well!
4. Upload Nirvana Eldorado pics only, no other strains!
5. Give your plant a little TLC before you start - can't hurt!
So yeah, the girlie's cute and all, but we'd rather show off a pic of *another* type of girl: a lovely, blooming cannabis plant covered in sticky trichomes! Will you be the one to take that winning pic? Have you grown Eldorado in the past, and taken pictures? Or is one of these girls currently gracing your growroom or garden? Take a snapshot for your chance to earn 2000 points!
NEW CONTEST: Share your pictures of Eldorado (feminised or regular)
1. Add a photo of Eldorado to the Newsletter Contest category.
2. Tag the picture with the strain name, in this case "Eldorado".
Good luck and have fun!
Failing to tag your picture properly, or adding irrelevant material to the Contest category will result in disqualification!! You can tag pictures when you upload them, by adding words to the field marked 'tags'. The winner of the contest will be chosen by Nirvana. The contest closes on 31 October, midnight CET. We will announce the winner in the next edition of the newsletter.
RAD REVIEWS: OUR FAVE RAVES FROM CUSTOMERS
We know some of you are getting a bit annoyed at all the "Yay, I got my seeds in like 5 days!!1!!" reviews that get posted... but there's hope! Because we have some awesome customers who've been posting really fun, detailed and well-written reviews. Here for your delectation is a selection of our favourite reviews of the past weeks (some of them have been shortened a bit). We hope they will inspire you in the grow room, and in your own review-writing too. Remember, you will receive 50 Points for each review that gets approved on our site.
RARE, UNIQUE PHENO - Master Kush review by Nathan
The Master is one of Nirvana's more stable strains, but out of all the plants I had one who stood out. Her hairs were as thick as shredded coconut and twisted as if deformed. My first thought was "Hermie" but I let her grow and watched her very closely. I have 21 strains from 9 different breeders growing now, from Pineapple Express to Acapulco Gold, I have some very fragrant strains, but you cant smell any of them, not the diesel, not the other Master Kush, nothing but that one plant. The "earthy" smell of the other Masters is lost in the unique aroma of this single female, her aroma is almost sexual in quality, sweet, sticky, fruity, musky, nasty, orgasmic. I can't pull women away from the plant, they just want to sit in there smelling that one Master Kush. It has aphrodisiac effects on all who smell it, calming yet arousing at the same time, you literally want to touch your self when the fragrance breezes past your nostrils.
Her trichome development is double that of the other Masters, her buds are so fat and white she looks like she has spear shaped marshmellows all over her. This aint your daddy's Master Kush, this pheno has EVOLVED past being Master Kush, she has moved into a realm all her own, never seen anything like it in thirty years.
THE MOST AMAZING SATIVA PERIOD - PPP review by Steve
I discovered PPP by accident. A friend gave me this pack. PPP is the most amazing sativa I have ever had. Everyone that samples it echos these same words, in fact, my significant other finds it to more effective than her ADHD medication. Very UP high. PPP encourages creativity and artistry. I write complex melodies on a piano when on it even though I haven't taken lessons but can barely play a note with one finger off it. I have looked for a very long time for another sativa to compliment PPP (lest we ever lose the strain), but nothing can come close to the way that PPP can tap into your cerebral mind and focus your thoughts. In large doses obviously paranoia can follow. PPP doesnt care if its too hot or too cold or if I'm messing with ph or if I forget to fertilize. I have grown with this one seed since I was a beginner, and she would not die on me then and I will never give her up now. At harvest time, she smells like god has just baked a pie. I will never not have PPP (I have stocked up with the feminized variety of it).
GREAT CHOICE - NYPD review by ODAWG
Took me awhile to finally decide on which strain to choose, but man I'm glad I tried NYPD. Plant took a little over 9 weeks of flowering. The buds she produces are light green, drenched in crystals! and very very very stinky!! The smoke is smooth with a full flavor of lemony pine and the high is heady and great for pain. Warning!! This is serious gear not meant for lightweights, but an A+ choice for the true diesel fans and medical patients alike.
A recent poll on our site showed that our customers rate the Knowledge Base the highest of the Weedportal community sites. While we do encourage you to try sharing photos on Share, chat on Shitter or meet new people on Weedportal Dating (seriously, have you SEEN some of the canna-cuties on there?), we really appreciate your support for our Knowledge Base! We haven't always had time to add lots of new articles in recent hectic times, but we'll try to make amends soon.
To conclude this month's edition of the Nirvana Newsletter, here are three of our recent KB articles:
Enjoy, and until next month!
