i was all excited to grow this strain i received 5 fem seeds and in 2 days 5/5 sprouted and i waited a week or 2 and they were already 10 inches tall so i decided to transfer them over to the vedge house. i placed them in a laundry basket with a towel over them in the back seat, what a mistake.... my stupid dog jumped on the basket right on top of my babies and murdered all my PD sprouts oh well guess i got to wait till the next time they are the weekend whopper. Nirvana is the best site for fresh seeds tho!

going on week 5 and the nugs are solid purple... not the slightest bit of green in the flower. room temp is 73-76F (lights on) and doesnt drop lower then 69 F. Also they now have a super strong smell. im very exited for thease to finish.

Pros:
I got about an ounce off of one plant from seed grown mostly under cfl's. its a good, close internode plant that likes to stagger its nodes instead of them always being parallel. that makes the yield better.
Cons:
VERY unique! amazing how close to the real sour diesel flavor it turned out to be. I had no intentions of it being similar either. It has that extreme taste with everything u can think of in it, capped off by a very tangy sour that makes you smack your lips. this thing had some powerful turpenes, which are what produce the smell and taste in pot. very impressive!
Summary and suggest:
The THC content must be fairly high, i got a LOT of rushy, heady moments!! this stuff really gave me a taste of that Mexican sativa thats in there! It still grew way more like an indica dominant hybrid tho! it was easy to keep short under the CFL's, and it grows very nice under a HID too. i have a clone under my 600 HPS and its growing VERY evenly next to White Rhino, White Castle, and Crimea Blue... which are all supposed to be more indica. It also grew fairly quick too, i was afraid it would take forever to flower, but it was done in 9 weeks. This strain is fantastic overall! its just not for people who want an overpowering sweet taste. its certainly a sour taste. and while its not a "true diesel" (which is cloudy territory anyways) this is one of Nirvana's most unique strains! Its a high yielder, and strong smoker too! it kicks everyones butt who smokes it! Great Strain!

about 70 grams from 2 plants, situated in a 2 square feet closet, together with 2 other plants.
Cons:
Lemony diesel, maybe more on the lemony side, the smell was fabulous.
Summary and suggest:
Vegged for a month under 250 w MH, the plants grew tall branches, almost tripling when they entered flower. The yield was acceptable, and they finished at around 70-75 days. The plants grew great, and the extra surprise I got was that they turned a bit purplish! Both plants I grew turned a bit purple towards the end, even though the temps never dropped below 21 degrees C( even at night). This, together with the smell, made my NYPD nugs catch the eye of everyone I shared them with. Everyone was amazed by the colour and the pleasant smell. The high also did not let down at all, it's a clear high, that inspires, and made me and my girlfriend pause the TV alot just so we could talk or do some activies together. Walking around in nature and sharing an NYPD joint with someone will make for some great memories! The high that NYPD brings on is my favorite from NIRVANA seeds so far. It is clear headed, relaxing, and makes you look at life with a lot more joy and wonder than usual. Even though the yield is smaller than other strains, it is well worth it, since the nugs are better quality. Cheers.

I put a post in a few weeks ago not sure if this one will land near it but ya here to follow up and finish this to help anyone out that is interested in this strain.As stated in another post , bought 10 seeds all 10 cracked. All 10 survived and grew quite well. All but one in any case it was dwarfed to main cola shoots at top after lolly popping she was under 24 inches but still gave me almost a full ounce. As for the other 9 they delivered on average 3 oz per plant. Buds were decently dense. Curing was a struggle as it was my first time but, it turned out very good. Burns fairly slow with strong fuel like taste. Not packed with crystals but semi frosted, sticky and dank, tons of red hairs on my crop! I know this will be better yield as I have learned tons. I will be running 10 again of the NYPD from mother plant. Running new Flo-n-Gro for 2ND grow should be great!Total yield of 9 plants was 29.8 oz. 650 elec bill, 370 in H&G neuts.Would be nice to see this thread blow up a bit. If anyone wants to do more of a write up on what equipment and juice your mixing would be appreciated. Will def post back on future grows of this strain. Peace all and thanks again NIRVANA!

THE most viable seeds I have ever seen. These cracked within the first 24 hours in paper towel method and within 48 were ready for transplant. They sprang right up and are thriving beautifully! They're very strong and healthy and easy to care for. I couldn't be happier! Thanks Nirvana!

Grow room #1 NYPD 10 plants. I purchased 10 of these along with a grow kit. All ten popped and within 13 days I had them trans planted into 5 gallon buckets running drip ring blubbers. 2x1000 watt lights in 203 sqft room. Using Home and Garden line 6 week veg 10 week flower. All 10 are now 10 days from harvest and all but 1 are same size and have huge colas. very frosty, stinky and dank. The plant was actually beautiful to grow. I never had any issues as they were deep green with no signs of any types of def during 16 weeks. I also took a mother and she is doing great. Only 1 plant seemed to stay dwarfed yet, its going to deliver decent for the size I think. I also have another grow room identical in set up growing, Casey Jones, White Widow & Cheese. I had some issue with the cheese but the NYPD was easier to grow and looked more health along the way. This is my first grow. i plan on running NYPD again from clones. I'll stop back and let you all know how it turned out. Far as the yield i haven't harvested yet but Ive seen many grows. You will do well with no regrets cause NYPD kicks ass and that's a fact! Two are the only to make it of 5 that germinated. I have never had a problem with a Nirvana seed like this. Guess If it's good as everyone is saying then one shall be a mother.

Odor almost burns your nose, in a good way. I love this diesel. Smells like kerosene at harvest. Not the biggest yielder but still very respectable. Did well inside under 1000w hps. 7/10 harvested.
