Growing

We created Strawberry Banana by crossing two of the tastiest strains in our stable. After selecting the best Banana Kush and Bubble Gum plants, the result is an easy to grow hybrid that is well suited for beginner growers.

Some sativa dominant phenotypes may grow taller, however with training can easily be controlled. An excellent candidate for outdoors as she loves hot weather and is very resistant to all climates.

Indoor

During the vegetative stage, the plants will grow with large sized internodal spacing. She will grow long side branches and many top shoots, producing a medium-sized plant that will double in size once times have been changed to 12/12.

During the final 3 weeks of flowering, Strawberry Banana will stack heavily and produce impressive yields, so it is advised to add bamboo canes for support.

Outdoor

Outdoors, this cultivar can become very tall and bushy. If left without training and to her devices, some phenotypes can grow as tall as 180 cm (71 inches) with a Christmas tree profile.

It is advised to add a net trellis to support all the side branches and always keep the plants in a South-facing location for best results.

Fungal resistance

Thanks to her indica and sativa lineage, she has inherited the most desirable traits of her parents. This means Strawberry Banana Feminized are highly resistant to mold, mildew, and repelling insects.

Flowering time

Indoor

Under HID lighting indoors, this lady can finish as quickly as 56-63 day. She can be exceptionally rewarding, with some phenotypes producing giant buds.

Strawberry Banana plants can become large sized and drink lots of organic or hydroponic nutrients.

Outdoor

We advise planting Strawberry Banana seeds in April time, with a harvest window between the start and middle of October. Depending on the climate, flowering time outdoors will require 8-9 weeks before fully mature.

Under HID lighting and with nutrients, yields of 550 g/m² (1.8 oz per square foot) can be achieved.

When grown for longer under 18/6 and with training, it is possible to increase yields further, making her a must-have for commercial growers.

Outdoor

Outdoors, 650 grams (23 oz) per plant can be harvested in a hot climate. We recommend planting into a large-sized container for the best yields possible.

Plant height & structure

Training

If you are limited with height in your growing space, we recommend pruning and pinching out the top shoots during the vegetative stage. This allows the structure to become more top-heavy and allow airflow to pass around the plants easily.
